Abstract of the Disclosure The compounds represented by the structural formula Image wherein A, B and C each independently represent hydrogen or a lower alkyl having from 1 to 4 ca?? atoms, provided that the sum of the carbon atoms in A B and C is no more than 5 and R1 represents alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbons, have been found to be particularly useful in compositions and methods for counteracting malodors. Novel compounds are also disclosed.
