A cyclone dust collecting apparatus for use in a vacuum cleaner is mounted in a dust collecting chamber intercommunicating with a motor driving chamber of a cleaner body for separating contaminants from an air that is drawn in through a suction brush by a centrifugal force. The apparatus includes a centrifuging receptacle integrely formed with a grill body. The bottom of the centrifuging receptacle is inclined downwardly in a radial direction. Foreign substances are separated from the air and discharged without using a dust bag.
