ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention is concerned with cyclopentane derivatives of the general formula: Image (XII) wherein R1 represents a straight- or branched-chain alkyl group containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, which may be substituted by an alkoxy group, or represents a cycloalkyl group containing from 5 to 7 carbon atoms or an adamantyl group, R5 represents an alkyl group or a hydrogen atom, and n is 5, 6, 7 or 8. The cyclopentane derivatives according to the invention possess valuable pharmaco- logical properties including, in particular, the production or hypotension, bronchodilation, inhibition of gastric acid secre- tion, and stimulation of uterine contraction. - 1 -
