Abstract Novel cyclopolygalacturonic acid compounds which are useful in the treatment of symptom relief in human disease including acne, blackheads and other facial lesions are disclosed. The compounds may be used in topical, oral or parenteral treatment compositions. A process for recovering the novel cyclopolygalacturonic acid compounds is also disclosed.
