The invention relates to a cylinder head cap for a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. This cylinder head cap is provided with a sealing element forming a seal between the cylinder head cap and the cylinder head. A stabilization core is inserted in the sealing element. This is completely sealed by the sealant. In this manner it is assured that the stabilization core does not come into direct contact with the cylinder head cap and also not in contact with the cylinder head. This provides effective neutralization of vibrations.
