ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a piston and cylinder assembly, the working elements are connected by a flexible tubular bellows, which is held by fluid pressure against one of the working elements, the bellow contacting surface of which has a toroidal transi- tion section of surface adjacent an anchorage for the bellows. Lubricant is applied to the bellows through a connection in said surface adjacent the transition section, where lubrica- tion is most needed, the connection preferably being in a cylindrical surface adjacent one end of the transition section so as to avoid irregularities in the toroidal section itself. The cylindrical portion or portions of the bellows contacting surface are preferably provided by a part or parts machined separately from that providing the toroidal section.
