ABSTRACT A compressor cylinder head assembly for a compressor which has a crankcase and a plurality of cylinders disposed in the crankcase. Each valve plate is spaced from the cylinder head by a valve plate gasket which is selected to have a thickness to provide the proper amount of clearance between the top of the piston and the valve plate to thereby keep the cylinder clearance in a predetermined range.
