PHO.80/502 12 ABSTRACT: In a cylindrical capacitive tachogenerator hav- ing a rotor and a stator, which face each other with one cylinder surface each, thus forming an air gap between them, and on said cylinder surface are each provided with equal numbers of teeth, which are spaced from each other by tooth gaps and which are uniformly distributed over the circumference, the effective capacitive width of a tooth on one cylinder surface is smaller than the effec- tive capacitive width of a tooth gap on the other cylinder surface.
