A cylindrical metal-air cell has a cylindrical housing, an axially extending cylindrical air cathode adjacent an interior surface of the housing, and a plurality of elongate plenums defined between the oxygen electrode and the interior surface of the housing. Isolating passageways are positioned between the ambient environment and each of the plenums, and an air moving device is operable to force air through the isolating passageways and into at least one of the plenums. The air moving device may be a micromachined blower controlled by a circuit integrated into the housing of the blower.
La présente invention concerne un élément cylindrique d'accumulateur électrique de type métal-air. Cet élément est constitué d'une enveloppe cylindrique, d'une cathode à air cylindrique disposée axialement contre la face intérieure de l'enveloppe, et d'une pluralité de volumes de distribution définis entre l'électrode à oxygène et la face intérieure de l'enveloppe. Des passages d'isolation sont situés entre l'atmosphère ambiante et chacun des volumes de distribution. Enfin, un dispositif de brassage d'air permet de forcer l'air à circuler par les passages d'isolation et à pénétrer dans l'un au moins des volumes de distribution. Ce dispositif de brassage d'air peut être une soufflante réalisée par micro-usinage et commandée par un circuit intégré monté dans le carter de la soufflante.
