PERMANENT WAVING COMPOSITION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Permanent waving compositions containing cystein have been known and have suffered from the disadvantage that crystals tend to separate on the hair. It has now been found that this separation of crystals can be inhibited by adding a small amount of N-acetylcystein with the cystein, with a composition containing about 3-15% cystein and about 0.2-3% N-acetylcystein being preferred.
