New cytochrome P-450 dependent monooxygenases and DNA molecules encoding these monooxygenases are provided, which are able to catalyze the biosynthetic pathway from amino acids to their corresponding cyanohydrins, the precursors of the cyanogenic glycosides, or to glucosinolates. Moreover, the invention provides methods for obtaining DNA molecules according to the invention and methods for obtaining transgenic plants resistant to insects, acarids, or nematodes or plants with improved nutritive value.
La présente invention concerne de nouvelles mono-oxygénases dépendant du cytochrome P-450 et de nouvelles molécules d'ADN codant ces mono-oxygénases. Elles sont capables de catalyser la biosynthèse des acides aminés en leurs cyanohydrines correspondantes (précurseurs des glucosides) ou en leurs glucosinolates correspondants. En outre, l'invention concerne des procédés d'obtention des molécules d'ADN conformes à l'invention, ainsi que des procédés d'obtention de plantes transgéniques résistantes aux insectes, aux acariens, ou aux nématodes, ou des procédés d'obtention de plantes de meilleure valeur nutritive.
