CYTOTOXIC DRUG CONJUGATES FOR TREATMENT OF NEOPLASTIC DISEASES Abstract of the Disclosure A novel composition of matter comprising a ligand- carbohydrate-cytotoxic drug conjugate is produced by the steps of (1) reacting a carbohydrate with a ligand, (2) reacting the product of step (1) with a cytotoxic drug, and (3) stabilizing the product of step (2) by reduction. The composition is used for treating a neoplastic disease by a process of administering a non-toxic, effective amount of a ligand-carbohydrate-cytotoxic drug conjugate to a human being or animal in need of such a treatment.
