A method is provided for constructing, identifying and using new therapeutic or diagnostic proteins capable of binding to a target cell. The new proteins are derived by mutating a binding subunit of a wild type heteromeric cytotoxic protein to create a library of microorganism clones producing mutant proteins which are then screened for their ability to specifically bind to and kill a target cell.
L'invention concerne un procédé de construction, d'identification et d'utilisation de nouvelles protéines thérapeutiques ou diagnostiques, capables de se fixer à une cellule cible. Lesdites nouvelles protéines sont dérivées par la mutation d'une sous-unité de liaison d'une protéine cytotoxique hétéromère du type sauvage, pour la création d'une banque de clones de micro-organismes produisant des protéines mutantes dont la capacité à se fixer spécifiquement à une cellule cible et à la tuer est ensuite analysée.
