The use of anti-CD44 monoclonal antibody H460-16-2 for the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous tumors, and binding assays which determine the presence of cells which express a CD44 antigenic moiety which specifically binds the monoclonal antibody H460-16-2. The monoclonal antibody is optionally used in combination with one or more chemotherapeutic agents, as a means for initiating the cytotoxic response to tumors.
L'invention porte sur l'utilisation de l'anticorps monoclonal H460-16-2 anti-CD44 pour le diagnostic et le traitement de tumeurs cancéreuses, et sur des essais de fixation déterminant la présence de cellules exprimant un fragment de l'antigène CD44 se fixant spécifiquement à l'anticorps monoclonal H460-16-2. Ce dernier s'utilise facultativement en association avec un ou plusieurs agents de chimiothérapie en tant que moyen suscitant une réponse cytotoxique à des tumeurs.
