ABSTRACT An electric heating blanket is provided having a plurality of resistive heating elements, each of which includes a conductor formed from a stainless steel material. The heating elements are connected in parallel with one another across a pair of supply leads. A control circuit connected between an A.C. supply and the supply leads, commutates the input supply voltage and energizes each heating element. In one embodiment, the control circuit is provided with a voltage adjustment circuit which allows the D.C. potential voltage across the supply leads to be altered to a desired value.
