D.C. MOTOR CONTROL HAVING GATING CONTROL OF A FULL-WAVE RECTIFIER SYSTEM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A D.C. motor is selectively connected to receive energizing power from a polyphase power source through a dual bridge rectifying system providing six pulses per cycle of the polyphase power supply by full-wave rectific- ation and selectively operable to supply current of either polarity for motoring or regenerative mode of operation in either direction and capable of operating a transportation system such as an elevator, for example. An improved gating control system includes a plurality of gating channels each supplying gating pulses to one of the rectifying elements. An output cascaded switching circuit of each channel sel- ectively and operatively connects a storage capacitor to an output transformer having a primary winding interconnected with a filter eliminating high frequency signals and a secondary winding shunted by a resistor and directly con- nected to the associated controlled rectifier. -0-
