PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention est relative à un équipement d'alimentation en courant continu pour matériel de traction électrique auquel est adjoint un équipement de récupération de manière économique. L'équipement d'alimentation comporte un transformateur adaptateur couplé, au primaire, au réseau alternatif haute tension et au secondaire à un redresseur alimentant le matériel de traction. Un onduleur est connecté aux bornes du matériel de traction, en série avec des éléments résistifs et inductifs et retourne l'éner- gie de récupération au secondaire du transformateur par l'inter- médiaire d'un autotransformateur monté en élévateur de tension. Application à la traction ferroviaire.
