ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE An environment thermostat assembly with a daily programming device comprises a thermostat, a digital clock with a seven-segment display device, a programm selecting circuit with two reference temperature values, a reference value switching circuit, and a con- trol circuit for the switching circuit which is monitored by the output signals of the digital clock and by the program selecting circuit. In the control circuit, a digital/decimal converter (N/D) con- verts the hour unit digital data into a one out of ten code signal. The tenth outputs (E0 to E9) of the converter are connected to the vertical wires of a cross-point matrix having three pairs of output wires (00 to 05). The output pairs are respectively assigned on the hours of which the tenth figures are 2, 1 and 0. The output wires are connected to the corresponding inputs of a logical circuit (22) which has also other inputs connected to the active outputs of the clock when the hour tenth figure is 1 or 2, respectively. Cross-points (D3 to D17) of the matrix are selectively connected in accordance with the different predetermined programs. Electronic contacts (X7 to X10) are mounted on the output wires (01-02) of the matrix and controlled by the program selecting circuit (SP). The output of the logical circuit (22) is connected to a reference value adjusting potentio- meter (P1), the voltage transmitted to said potentiometer, through the output (13) of the logical circuit (22) varying between two values in accordance with the logical levels of the inputs of the logical circuit (22). The thermostat comprises a bistable relay, means for energizing the coil (SW) of said relay in one direction or the other during the successive changes of state of the output of the temperature sensor of the thermostat, one contact (SW2) of said relay closing or opening the output circuit (F3, F4) of the thermostat, and means for de-ener- gizing the coil (SW) between the changes of state of the output of said temperature sensor. The switching means of the coil comprise an assembly of electrical cells. An inverter (X15, X16) is mounted between the back panel termi- nal (33) of the clock (21) and the corresponding input terminal (40) of the display device (DA). The other input terminal of the inverter is connected to the blinking output (9) of the clock digital circuit (Z1). The inverter (X15, X16) is controlled by a circuit which measures the voltage of the cells (S1, S2, S3), and switches the blinking output (9) to the back panel signal input (40) of the display device (DA) when said voltage falls below a predetermined value .
