ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A heating appliance such as a hot-air circula- ting microwave oven has a shape memory alloy as a damper spring for operating a damper controlling the supply of air into a heating chamber. The damper spring is dis- posed in an air path inside a duct for delivering air from a cooling fan to both the heating chamber and a magnetron, so that the damper spring is also cooled.
