SPECIFICATION TITLE OF THE INVENTION Damping material composition ABSTRACT A damping material composition comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of ethylenic copolymer and (b) 100 to 300 parts by weight of a hydrocarbon resin having a softening point of 80 to 130°C obtained by polymerization of a decomposed oil fraction obtained by thermal decomposition of petroleum containing at least 40 wt. % of a fraction having a boiling point ranging from 140 to 220°C with or without the balance of said decomposed oil fraction having a boiling point substantially ranging from 15 to 70°C, using a Friedel-Crafts type catalyst.
