A device is provided, which permits the user to train dance without substantial need of concentrating nerve on the understanding of foot statuses to be tredded but by immediately understanding the foot statuses, thus permitting nerve concentration on the training of the grasped foot statuses and efficient dance training. A progress controller 1 is constituted by a microprocessor or the like, display is a liquid crystal display, a more setter 2 is constituted by a track pad and also icons, buttons and a list displayed on the screen of the display 6, and the hardware of the device has a construction like a light-weight notebook type personal computer of about A5 type. The progress controller 1 reads out foot status data of a figure selected by a figure select switch c of the mode setter 2 form a figure memory M2, reads out a foot status pattern represented by the foot status data from the foot status memory M1, and supplies the read-out data as foot status data to the display 6 for display on the screen thereof. Also, the progress controller 1 reads out still or moving image of dancing form a still or moving image memory M4 and M5 and displays the read-out data in superimposition on foot statuses.
