- 17 - ABSTRACT DARTBOARDS A wire structure and method of producing same, for defining the playing area of a dartboard, the wire structure comprising a series of at least four concentric rings of wire positioned so as to define the "double" and "treble"' areas of the playing area, and first and second sets of radially extending radial wires, each radial wire of each of the first and second sets being provided with a spike at at least its radially-outer end, the spike extending generally orthogonally to the wire, and each radial wire further comprising first and second series of undulations spaced apart along the wire and cooperable with the double and treble rings, respectively, each of the first and second series of undulations comprising a pair an undulations: spaced apart along the wire by a distance equal to the radial separation of the double and treble rings, the undulations extending in the plane containing the radial wire and spike, with the undulations arranged such that the one undulation of the first set of radial wires extends over one of the concentric rings and the corresponding undulation of the second set of radial wires extends under that ring, whereby the concentric rings are woven under and over the radial wires.
