ABSTRACT A dashboard for motor vehicles, which consists of a carrier which is a framework of rots joined to one another with a mineral fibre mat extending over the rods and the spaces between them, a polyurethane foam over the mat and carrier forming a backing to a deep drawn plastic foil which forms the fascia of the dashboard. The foil may be given a surface grain effect. The mineral fibres can be of glass with every 20 to 30 fibres worked into threads which are then laid up to form the mat as a non-woven fabric of random orientation.
