A B S T R A C T The invention refers to a sensor based electronic system to be used in bowling houses and a miniature minibowling system. The sensors detect and process the information for each PIN, first or second throw (or delivery), sweep mechanism, cups, faul line, traveling time of the ball from the throw until it reaches the PIN area for each lane, an interface connects the sensors to a computer that calculates each player score, per lane, and also controls the bowling house illumination system, the motors of the mechanisms per lane as well as the cycle. An inter- face communicates the computer to a sensor selection circuit. Several throw, faul, table, sweep, cup, pin and pine-apple sensors are presented, taking into consideration all the sensors as an entity called "sensor based electronic system for minibowling systems and bowling houses" Each of the ten holes located in every lane table, has its respective pin sensor located in the center position of each pin. Each sensor has an emitter and receiver, (or an array of these), per hole, detecting a valid position pin event. The exter- nal illumination system plays a vital role in this process.
