PHN 8984 24.6.1978 ABSTRACT: A data buffer memory of the first-in, first-out type, comprising an input bus via which data are applied to the buffer, and a fixed output wherefrom data are taken up from the buffer. Per section of the buffer, the buffer comprises logic means whereby a variable input location can be selected. In the logic means status signals are used to determine, in cooperation with signals applied from out- side the buffer, the location where data are to be written in the buffer and, if necessary, when these data in the buf- fer must be shifted to the output.
