A data detector and a data detection method. The data detector includes: a converter for converting a received signal into digital data according to a sampling clock signal; a maximum likelihood decoder for performing maximum likelihood decoding of the digital data; and a generator for measuring a phase difference between sampling points of the digital data and optimal detection points of the received signal, and for generating a control signal for changing the phase of the sampling clock signal according to the measured phase difference. The phase of the sampling points as the data detection points matches that of the optimal detection points, so that error caused by difference in phase is minimized, thereby enhancing the performance of the maximum likelihood decoder, and the overall performance in detection of reproduced data.
L'invention est constituée par un détecteur de données et une méthode de détection de données. Le détecteur comprend : un convertisseur servant à convertir un signal reçu en un signal numérique en utilisant un signal d'horloge d'échantillonnage; un décodeur à maximum de vraisemblance servant à effectuer un décodage à maximum de ressemblance sur les données numériques; et un générateur servant à mesurer le déphasage entre les points d'échantillonnage des données numériques et des points de détection optimaux du signal reçu et à produire un signal de commande servant à modifier la phase du signal d'horloge d'échantillonnage selon le déphasage mesuré. La phase des points d'échantillonnage utilisés comme points de détection de données correspond à celle des points de détection optimaux, de sorte que l'erreur causée par le déphasage est minimale, ce qui accroît la performance du décodeur à maximum de vraisemblance, ainsi que la performance globale dans la détection des données reproduites.
