A DATA DISPLAYING SYSTEM INCLUDING SIGNAL RECEPTION AND/OR REPRODUCTION DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for the display of data sequences and various other data on a recording medium in a reception/reproduction device which device is connected with an operating time counter by way of a forward-return stepping line. A meter pulse line leads from the reception/reproduction device to the operating time counter and a line branches off from the line in front of the operating time counter and leads to an intermediate storage/computer which stores, summarizes, and, in relation to the beginning of the recording medium, converts all data for the purpose of reproducing medium. The data contained in the intermediate storage/computer is fed to a printer which produces an index strip. A switch in the device is provided to indicate the marking stops and is connected to the printer. The reception/reproduction device is attached to two time function elements which are linked in sequence. One time function element resets the operating time counter in accordance with the return signals, while the other time function element is attached to the operating time counter and restarts the time operating counter after the latter is reset. A switch is also provided in the printer, intermediate storage/computer, or reception/reproduction device which sets the reception/reproduction device in reverse operation.
