An apparatus which reproduces AV data using a markup document in an interactive mode includes a buffer which buffers the markup document, and a buffer manager which manages preloading of the markup document and provides buffering state information of the buffer in response to a report signal. The markup document may be provided via a network or form a data storage medium which includes information to control a buffering state of the markup document.

L'invention concerne un appareil reproduisant des données audio/vidéo à l'aide d'un document de balisage dans un mode interactif comprenant un tampon qui met en mémoire tampon le document de balisage, et un gestionnaire de tampon qui gère le préchargement de ce document et fournit une information d'état de mise en mémoire dans le tampon en réponse à un signal de rapport. Le document de balisage peut être envoyé via un réseau ou sous la forme d'un support de stockage de données comprenant l'information nécessaire afin de commander un état de mise en mémoire tampon de ce document.
