L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) conçu pour l'étude et la vérification de données, qui comprend: un boîtier; et des moyens permettant de détecter une effaction d'un tel boîtier, pour vérifier la protection et la fiabilité des données recueillies, garantir la fiabilité de ce moyen lorsque le dispositif (1) est éteint, car il comprend: un moyen permettant de stocker et/ou de générer une pièce d'information (22), alimenté électriquement par une batterie (21) logée à l'intérieur dudit boîtier (2) par le biais d'un circuit électrique; et un moyen permettant d'interrompre (26) l'alimentation électrique dudit moyen de stockage et/ou de génération d'une pièce d'information, activé par l'ouverture dudit boîtier (2).
