Some disclosed embodiments include apparatus and methods for transferring existing data from a source motor to a target motor. The existing data can be transferred from the source motor to the target motor by retrieving the existing data from the source motor, optionally converting the existing data into a new format, and at least one of storing, erasing, writing, overwrit-ing, or replacing software and/or data on the target motor such that the existing data is stored on the target motor in a format com-patible with the target motor.

Certains modes de réalisation de la présente invention concernent un appareil et des procédés permettant de transférer des données existantes d'un moteur source à un moteur cible. Le procédé pour transférer les données existantes du moteur source au moteur cible consiste à récupérer les données existantes du moteur source, à éventuellement convertir les données existantes dans un nouveau format, puis au moins à enregistrer, effacer, inscrire, écraser ou remplacer un logiciel et/ou des données sur le moteur cible de manière que les données existantes soient enregistrées sur le moteur cible dans un format compatible avec ce dernier.
