A data streaming apparatus (100) is provided for broadcasting data, encoded by a layered encoding algorithm, each layer of encoded data frames being conveyed within separate respective streams of data packets of a predetermined packet structure, including a packet numbering facility (125) to assign to each data packet a data sequence number indicating the correct order for subsequent decoding of encoded data conveyed by that packet. Corresponding client apparatus (200) is also provided to receive data packets having such data sequence numbers assigned to them, including a packet ordering facility (220) to place out-of-sequence packets into the correct order for output to a decoder.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de préparation de flux de données (100), destiné à la radiodiffusion de données codées par un algorithme de codage en couches, chaque couche de trames de données codées étant acheminée dans des flux respectifs et séparés de paquets de données, à structure de paquet déterminée comportant notamment une numérotation des paquets (125) servant à attribuer à chaque paquet de données un numéro de séquence de données indiquant l'ordre correct, aux fins de décodage ultérieur des données codées acheminées par ce paquet. Le dispositif client correspondant (200) est également conçu pour recevoir des paquets de données, auxquels ont été attribués de tels numéros de séquences de données, et il comprend notamment un module de mise en ordre des paquets (220) servant à placer en ordre correct des paquets non en séquence, aux fins d'acheminement vers un décodeur.
