A method of visually displaying data characteristic for a plurality of entities. The method includes generating one or more images from collected data. The one or more images represent each entity by a character located along a preselected direction in a field. The locations of the characters along the direction are representative of the value of the characteristic of the associated entity at a collection time associated with the data.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'afficher visuellement des caractéristiques numériques correspondant à une pluralité d'entités. Le procédé implique la production d'au moins une image à partir des données recueillies. Ces images représentent chaque entité au moyen d'un caractère disposé le long d'un axe défini d'une zone. La position des caractères considérés le long de l'axe est représentative de la valeur de la caractéristique de l'entité associée au moment où cette valeur a été recueillie.
