A DC LEVEL SHIFTER CIRCUIT FOR INTERFACING ANALOG SENSING DEVICES TO DIGITAL LOGIC DEVICES ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION An interface circuit is disclosed for providing the proper voltage and current levels for the transmission of data acquisition signaling states between analog sensing devices and digital logic devices. The invention comprises an operational amplifier, first and second voltage dividers and a feedback network. The first voltage divider produces and applies to the operational amplifier a reference voltage from a positive and a negative supply voltage. The second voltage network produces and applies to the operational amplifier an equivalent voltage from the negative supply voltage and the output of the analog sensing circuitry. A ground potential signal is output from the circuit to a digital logic device when a diode included in the feedback network begins to conduct in response to the equivalent voltage rising above the reference voltage. Alternatively, a single positive voltage is output from the circuit when the feedback diode stops conducting in response to the equivalent voltage decreasing below the reference voltage and the resistance of a feedback resistor is less than the equivalent resistance of the second voltage divider.
