An apparatus and method for de-bowing personalized cards which includes a first contact member. The first contact member can be positioned for contacting a personalized card received by the apparatus and for displacing the personalized card against a bow occurring therein. The first contact member contacts and displaces a portion of the personalized card on one side of the personalized card and at an area that is generally centered horizontally and vertically. A second contact member can be supported by the frame for contacting the personalized card on a side opposite the first contact member. The second contact member being arranged and configured to contact an opposite side of the personalized card at a plurality of positions proximate the perimeter of the personalized card. In this manner, the first and second contact members cooperate to bend substantially the entire surface area of the personalized card against the occurring bow.
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé destinés à supprimer la déformation en arc de cartes personnalisées et faisant appel à un premier élément de contact. Le premier élément de contact peut être disposé de façon à venir au contact d'une carte personnalisée reçue dans l'appareil et à exercer sur cette carte personnalisée une pression opposée à une déformation en arc se produisant dans celle-ci. Le premier élément de contact entre en contact avec une partie de la carte personnalisée et exerce une pression sur celle-ci sur un côté de ladite carte et au niveau d'une zone généralement centrée horizontalement et verticalement. Un second élément de contact peut être supporté par le cadre et peut entrer en contact avec la carte personnalisée sur un côté opposé au premier élément de contact. Le second élément de contact est disposé et conçu de façon à entrer en contact avec un côté opposé de la carte personnalisée au niveau d'une pluralité de positions au voisinage du périmètre de cette carte. Ainsi, lesdits premier et second éléments de contact coopèrent de façon à plier sensiblement toute la surface de la carte personnalisée dans le sens opposé à la déformation en arc se produisant dans celle-ci.
