ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A dead-end appliance for linear bodies includes a pair of elongated legs in parallel spaced relationship, each leg being generally helically coiled along the length thereof for grippingly receiving a portion of the linear body, a generally U-shaped bight portion and a pair of integral pin receiving eyes, the pin receiving eyes are in parallel spaced relationship and connect each of the legs with the U-shaped bight portion. The eyes have eye axes aligned in a plane lying generally perpendicular to the legs and the U-shaped bight portion is positioned for attachment thereto of a linear body tensioning device extending therefrom in the same direction as the legs.
