A deadbolt lock and a deadbolt which will extend automatically whenever a container is locked by virtue of a rigid portion of the container engaging a trigger element extending from the end face of the bolt and causing the release of an outer boltportion is shown and described herein. The release of the outer bolt of the boltassembly allows the outer bolt to project outwardly and to lock the container notwithstanding the fact that the bolt has not been reset by the operator of the lock. The bolt is self-contained and can be substituted into many existing lock mechanisms of the mechanical type and into some of the existing electronic dial combinationlocks, to provide the auto-locking enhancement.
La présente invention vise une serrure à pêne dormant et un pêne dormant qui se déploiera automatiquement chaque fois qu'un boîtier est verrouillé par une partie rigide du boîtier retenant un dispositif de déclenchement se prolongeant de la partie terminale du pêne et entraînant le dégagement de la partie extérieure du pêne tel que décrit et illustré à la présente. Le dégagement de la partie extérieure du pêne hors de la serrure permet de le déployer à l'extérieur et de verrouiller le boîtier, malgré le fait que le pêne n'ait pas été remis en place parutilisateur de la serrure. Le pêne est fait d'un seul tenant et peut être employé dans de nombreux types de serrures mécaniques existantes et dans un certain nombre de serrures à combinaisons électroniques pour permettre un verrouillage automatique.
