A deadlock assembly (10) includes a body (12), means (20) on the body (12) adapted to receive at least one actuator (22) and to accommodate the travel of lug means (23) associated with the actuator (22), which travel is curved about an axis (13). The assembly (10) also includes a drive coupler (30) reciprocable along a curved track (26) defined in the body (12) about the axis (13) and disposed so that the drive coupler (30) is engageable by the lug means (23) for effecting movement of the coupler (30) along the track (26), a lock bolt (17) supported for reciprocable sliding motion along a path generally normal to the axis (13) and link means (40) connected between the lock bolt (17) and the drive coupler (30). The reciprocation of the drive coupler (30) is transmitted to reciprocate the latch bolt (17). The link means (40) is pivotallyconnected to the drive coupler (30) at a position so disposed that, in an extended condition of the lock bolt (17), said position lies generally between and generally aligned with the bolt path and with the axis (13) so as to lock the bolt (17) against being forced back along the path.

Le dispositif de liaison (40) est relié par une articulation au dispositif de d'accouplement de l'entraînement (30) en un point choisi pour que, lorsque le pêne (17) est déplié, ce point se situe à peu près entre la voie du pêne et l'axe (13) tout en étant généralement aligné avec eux, pour bloquer le pêne (17) et l'empêcher de revenir sur la voie.
