"DECK BRACKET" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A steel, unitary bracket is provided to form a bench in conjunction with wooden inserts and crosspieces. The bracket comprises a base, legs and an open-topped, generally L-shaped channel of U-shaped section. The channel forms the seat and back. The channel is adapted to snugly receive 2" x 2" wooden board inserts. However, the depth of the channel is less than the thickness of the inserts, so that the latter protrude. The inserts are thus available to enable wooden crosspiece boards to be nailed or screwed thereto to complete the bench.
