A method is described for the decomposition of polymers, especially waste plastics and used plastics, in which so-called NOR-HALS compounds - that is, for example, compounds comprising the group See formula I in which R* is C1-C20alkyl, OH-substituted C1-C20alkyl, optionally C1-C4alkyl- substituted C5-C12cycloalkyl or O- or S-interrupted C2-C20alkyl - are added and heating is carried out at temperatures which lie above the customary processing temperatures for polymers (280°C or more).
L'invention concerne un procédé pour décomposer des polymères, notamment des plastiques usagés et vieux, dans lequel des composés dits NOR-HALS, par exemple des composés contenant le groupe (III) dans lequel R* représente alkyle C1-C20, alkyle C1-C20 substitué par OH, cycloalkyle C5-C12 éventuellement substitué par alkyle C1-C4, ou bien alkyle C2-C20 interrompu par O ou S, sont ajoutés et chauffés à des températures supérieures aux températures usuelles de mise en oeuvre des polymères (à partir de 280 DEG C).
