ABSTRACT DECONTAMINATION OF (HYDROCARBYLTHIO)AROMATIC AMINES A Lewis acid contaminant is removed from a (hydro- carbylthio)aromatic amine by mixing a solid alkali metal hydroxide with a solution of the Lewis acid in the amine, preferably at 110-120°C., and then filtering the solids from the mixture.
