PV 34423 ABSTRACT "Decorating Tool" A decorating tool suitable for creating a broken pattern in e.g. flowable paint, varnish or glazes to simulate, for example, ragging, sponging and rag-rolling effects. The tool comprises flexible flaps attached to a roller so that when the roller is rolled across a coat of paint, etc., the flaps strike the paint and create the broken pattern. The tool may be used to distress the coating whereupon the flaps are preferably made from sheepskin or chamois leather. A broken pattern may be created by use of the roller.
