A container opening device, container lid (20), or can top with a decorated feature, or in the case of an opening device, a symbolically shaped pull tab (40) for attachment to a container to perform the dual functions of opening the container and decorating the container for equity, identification or promotional purposes. The pull tab (40) may open the container by acting as a lever which presses against a tear strip (30) in the container top (20) defined by a tear line (31) to separate the tear strip from the container top (20) and open the container (10). The pull tab (40) may perform a decorative and promotional function by having a decoration or a symbolic shape that is to be recognized as a picture, trademark, icon, character, or other symbolic item or logo. The decoration can be enhanced further by applying color, printing, embossing and labels to the pull tab (40), lid (20) or container (10). The pull tab (40) or decoration can take the shape and design of corporate logos, trademarks, icons, etc. In an alternative embodiment, the pull tab (40") may have a weakened portion (44) so that a piece of the pull tab may be removable from the container as a token or memento.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'ouverture de récipient, un couvercle de récipient (20) ou un dessus de boîte à élément de décoration, ou, dans le cas d'un dispositif d'ouverture, un anneau de préhension (40) de forme symbolique, se fixant sur un récipient pour assurer la double fonction d'ouverture et de décoration de celui-ci à des fins de fidélisation, d'identification ou de promotion. L'anneau de préhension (40) permet d'ouvrir le récipient en agissant comme un levier qui vient appuyer sur une bande déchirable (30) située sur le sommet (20) du récipient, définie par une ligne de déchirure (31) permettant de la séparer du sommet (20) du récipient et d'ouvrir ledit récipient (10). L'anneau de préhension (40) peut remplir une fonction décorative ou promotionnelle et présenter une forme décorative ou symbolique, sous forme d'image, de marque de commerce, d'icône, de caractère ou de tout autre article symbolique ou logotype. La décoration peut encore être mise en valeur par l'application de couleur, par impression, par bosselage et par des étiquettes sur l'anneau (40), le couvercle (20) ou le récipient (10). L'anneau (40) ou la décoration peut avoir la forme ou le graphisme de sigles, de marques de commerce, d'icônes etc. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'anneau (40") peut comporter une partie fragilisée (40), de sorte qu'une partie de celle puisse être enlevée du récipient, lorsqu'il s'agit d'un coupon ou d'un mémento.
