Abstract A kit and method for creating a fabric decorative appli- que wherein a plurality of pre-cut fabric applique elements are provided for arrangement in a predetermined manner on a surface of a fabric backing. A layer of thermal adhesive material of a size and shape conforming to the outline of the decorative pattern is positioned between the surface of the backing and the applique elements arranged in the predetermined pattern, and adapted, upon heating to fusion and cooling, to secure to the backing the elements thus arranged. In this way, a simple, decorative applique may be created without use of glue or millinery skill.
