A method of forming a decorative candle (10) is disclosed. The method comprises provid- ing a candle (10) within a container (12) which is fabricated from a wax material (26) that de- fines a top surface (30). Next, a source of heat is applied to the candle until at least that por- tion of the wax (26) which defines the top sur- face (30) thereof is melted. Then at least one gelatinous component (34) formed from a min- eral oil gel is placed onto the top surface (30) such that the component is at least partially in- serted into the molten wax (26). The candle (10) is allowed to cool thereby hardening the molten wax (26) and securing the gelatinous component (34). The melting point of the gelatinous com- ponent (34) is higher than the melting point of the wax (26) such that the component will not melt when placed upon the molten wax.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de fabrication d'une bougie (10) décorative. Ce procédé consiste à former une bougie (10) dans un réceptacle (12) conçu dans un matériau (26) en cire qui forme une surface (30) supérieure; appliquer une source de chaleur sur la bougie jusqu'à ce que la partie de la cire (26) qui forme la surface (30) supérieure soit fondue; placer au moins un composant (34) gélatineux formé dans un gel d'huile minérale sur la surface (30) supérieure de sorte qu'il soit au moins partiellement inséré dans la cire (26) fondue; laisser la bougie (10) refroidir pour que la cire (26) fondue durcisse et que le composant (34) gélatineux se fixe. Le point de fusion du composant (34) gélatineux est supérieur au point de fusion de la cire (26) de sorte que le composant ne fonde pas lorsqu'il est placé sur la cire fondue.
