Abstract: A luminous decorative display apparatus, e.g. for a Christmas tree, has a plurality of two-sided flat luminous display elements each having an electroluminescent layer formed contiguously between opposite transparent electrodes and capable of shining in a specific color and shape when a voltage is applied across the transparent electrodes. Each display element is connected through electrode terminals extending from the respective transparent electrodes for parallel connection to power supply lines.
