A decorative light has a bulb, a base for receiving a part of the bulb and a socket for receiving a part of the base together with the bulb. The socket has a retainer with a T-shaped passage and a semicircular hole communicating with the passage, such that a wire with a connecting plate is able to be inserted through the passage and the semicircular hole respectively and the wire is able to be firmly held by the retainer. A rim with a hole is further provided to the socket, such that a wire without a connecting plate is able to be secured by the rim so as to increase the variety of the net-like pattern.
