An improved decorative lighted fabric assembly comprising a top layer which forms an upper surface of the lighted decorative fabric assembly, a center layer positioned underneath the top layer, a trim layer positioned underneath the center layer, and a bottom layer, which comprises a bottom surface of the lighted decorative fabric assembly. Lights are positioned on the bottom layer, and each of the layers are secured together along a substantial length thereof. At least one portion of each of the layers is unsecured with one another to form an opening into an interior of the lighted decorative fabric assembly. A securing material is connected to the at least one portion, whereby the opening can be sealed to assume a closed position through use of the securing material, and is operably able to attain a selectively openable position, through separation of the securing material, to permit access to the interior of the lighted decorative fabric assembly through the opening. The top layer is at least partially translucent to permit visible light from the interior lights to penetrate through the top layer.
