ABSTRACT A laminated slab which comprises a foam plastic web of closed- cell, cross-linked polyolefin, the surfaces of which have been veneered with similar or different webs of deep-drawable material. The slab can be deep- drawn and exhibits high mechanical strength together with exceptional rigidity. The slabs are particularly useful in the manufacture of instrument housings, boats and car bodies.
