Applicants have created a method and system of deep sea mining comprising mining SMS (Seatfloor Massive Sufilde) deposits from the sea floor with a subsea miner (105), pumping the solids from the subsea miner through a jumper (115) and pumping the solids from the jumper up a riser (130) to a surface vessel (195). Further, applicants have created a method of deploying a deep sea mining system, comprising stacking a riser hangoff structure (705) on top of a subsea pump module forming an assembly; picking up the assembly by a hanging mechanism, hanging the assembly on a moon pool (400), attaching a first riser joint; disconnecting the riser hangoff structure (705) from the assembly; and attaching at least one second riser joint to form the riser (130).
On décrit un procédé et un système dextraction sous-marine profonde comportant lextraction de dépôts massifs de sulfure sur le fond marin (SMS, Sea Floor Massive Sulfide) à partir du fond marin à laide dune machine sous-marine (105) dabattage, en pompant les solides provenant de la machine sous-marine dabattage à travers un tube (115) de raccord et en pompant les solides provenant du tube de raccord par une colonne (130) jusquà un navire (195) de surface. On décrit également un procédé de déploiement dun système dextraction sous-marine profonde, comportant les étapes consistant à poser une structure (705) de suspension de colonne par-dessus un module sous-marin de pompe, formant ainsi un ensemble; soulever lensemble au moyen dun mécanisme de suspension, suspendre lensemble au-dessus dun puits central (400), fixer un premier tronçon de colonne; déconnecter la structure (705) de suspension de colonne de lensemble; et fixer au moins un deuxième tronçon de colonne pour former la colonne (130).
