Improved deep well grounding systems of the kind used for cathodic protection of ground installations according to the invention employ a combination of materials for the casing of the central metallic anode and the backfill in the well which exhibit a degree of permeability sufficient to allow by-product gases develop in ordinary use of this system to escape, avoiding unwanted cavitation, while minimizing the migration of ground water and the attendant undesirable environmental pollution.

Il s'agit de systèmes améliorés de mise à la terre des puits profonds du genre des systèmes applicables à la protection cathodique des installations de mise à la terre. Conformément à la présente invention, ces systèmes font appel à une combinaison de matériaux pour le boîtier de l'anode métallique centrale. La terre de remblayage du puits présente un degré de perméabilité suffisant pour que les gaz dérivés produits habituellement dans ce système puissent se libérer. Ainsi, la cavitation non désirée est évitée, tout en minimisant la migration de l'eau souterraine et la pollution de l'environnement non désirée qui l'accompagne.
